Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro us one of three DStv Premiership players who were nominated for the CAF Interclub Men’s Player of the Year.
Chivaviro, 30, who has found the going tough at Kaizer Chiefs was nominated for his outstanding CAF Confederations Cup campaign with Marumo Gallants.
The strong striker netted seven goals in Gallants’ fairytale run to the semi-final and has been recognised for his outstanding campaign, which ultimately earned him a move to Amakhosi.
Mamelodi Sundowns duo Peter Shalulile and Ronwen Williams were also nominated in this category, as was Al Ahly and Bafana Bafana winger Percy Tau.
The latter is probably among the favourite to win the award after his impressive campaign in the CAF Champions League, scoring five goals and five assists – more than any other player in the competition, as Al Ahly lifted the title.
