Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba was full of praise for Pitso Mosimane after his exploits at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The legendary Blues striker was present in Abu Dhabi as his former club lifted it’s first ever FIFA Club World Cup, beating Copa Libertadores champions Palmeiras 2-1 in extra-time.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly and Mosimane finished in third place following their 4-0 demolition job of Al Hilal in the third-place playoff.
‘Jingles’ became the first African manager to win back-to-back bronze medals, as he collected his second medal at the competition – which has earned him high praise from one of the continent’s biggest ever stars.
“The first time we have an African team in this competition like Al Ahly and I think they deserve the third place, they had a good game,” he told FilGoal.
“And good for the manager as well, because he’s been winning trophies as well.
“He’s been winning trophy after trophy and to do that in a different country is not always easy.
“He did it and he proved that he’s one of the best coaches on the continent.”
