Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana has already hit the ground running at his new club USM Alger after scoring on debut in their narrow 2-1 loss to El Bayadh on Thursday afternoon.
The 27-year-old secured a shock move to North Africa at the beginning of February after he opted to leave Persian Gulf Pro League side Zob Ahan Esfahan before the end of the window via mutual termination.
He penned a one-and-a-half-year contract with the eight-time league champions to bolster their attacking options and seems to be doing just that earlier on.
The ‘Black Panther’ scored for Alger in the 71st minute which was a consolation goal for the visitors who trailed 2-0 at the break courtesy of strikes from M’hend Sediri in the 33rd minute and Toumi Sief in the 47th minute.
