Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana scored his first goal for Esperance Sportive de Tunis in their crucial win over fierce rivals Etoile du Sahel.
Mokwana netted an 88th-minute goal in their 2-0 win over Etoile, which is a rivalry between the two most successful clubs in the country.

With 102 titles, 17 of which are continental trophies, it’s one of the biggest fixtures in the African football calendar and Mokwana’s goal has made him an instant fan favourite.
After an indifferent start to the season, which saw Esperance sack head coach Miguel Cardoso, the win moves them into sixth place in the league after seven games, five points behind early pace-setters Olympique Beja.
With Mokwana being the first South African to sign for Taraji, when he joined the club in the off-season from Sekhukhune United in an R10-million transfer, he writes his name in history too, as the first South African to score for the club and in the Tunisian top-flight.
