Broos Confirms More Bafana Changes

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has confirmed more changes in his squad, with Thapelo Xoki and Elias Mokwana being called up ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Broos has already had to replace Lebo Mothiba and recalled Evidence Makgopa to the team after his upward trend in form at Orlando Pirates, including his winner in Saturday’s Soweto Derby.

Bafana will face Benin at Moses Mabhida Stadium 15:00 on Saturday, before traveling to Rwanda for their clash on 21 November at the Stade Huye.

On Tuesday, Bafana confirmed more changes after Broos had already admitted he was sweating on the fitness over Grant Kekana and Thapelo Maseko.

Both have been withdrawn from the squad after the medical reports arrived, with Kekana replaced by Xoki and Maseko replaced by Mokwana.
