Broos Left Flabbergasted With Bafana Display

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was left bitterly disappointed after his side’s goalless draw against world number 144 eSwatini.

South Africa struggled to create man y clear-cut chances and were held to the first draw in six games by eSwatini after winning five in a row against their neighbours.

After the match, Broos expressed his disappointment with the team and was somewhat flabbergasted with his side’s performance.

“I’m more than disappointed. I didn’t understand why the team was playing like this,” he said on SABC Sport.

“Already the first half, no passion, no rhythm. I don’t know what’s happening, really I don’t know what’s happening.

“I said it in the half-time and hoped to see a better team, but it was exactly the same.

“So I don’t know, they have to think about what they did today in the game. When they are honest with themselves, they know that it was very bad.”

Broos said he tried to awaken his players at half-time and with his substitutes but it stayed a bad day at the office.

“They way we were playing in the first half, it was a disaster. It was very bad,” he added.

“I think we didn’t have one chance. I think we’ve had once chance in the 70th minute, the one 20 minutes before the end and for the rest nothing – not even being dangerous.

“With all respect against eSwatini.

“You try to change things at half-time with other players, but nothing changed.”
