“I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me. I think I have been performing well. I’m going to continue working as hard as I have been,” Mofokeng said.
“I won’t disappoint them as they have voted for me. This is going to motivate me to keep going because more is still to come. They should expect me to do more.”
Standing beside Mr Matome Chiloane, the MEC for Education and Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Mofokeng stated the role of sports programs is essential in the country, as he emerged from an institution like the School of Excellence before joining Pirates in 2022.
“I think it’s part of development because they [School of Excellence] help you to be mentally strong and physically see how others play,” he said.
“I think that helps in a lot of ways because development is the most important part when you are growing up. I think they helped us in a lot of ways.”
