Agent Gives Update On Mngqithi

Golden Arrows are in talks with head coach Manqoba Mngqithi to extend his stay at the club after initially signing a short-term deal.

After over a decade at Mamelodi Sundowns, Mngqithi returned to the club that elevated him into the elite coaching level of South African football and stated he would always have a soft spot for the club.

His notion of feeling indebted to the KZN outfit and looking to build something has been evident in his media briefings and interviews, but there were always going to be links to his name with a number of club’s looking for a new leader in the dugout.

However, his agent Mike Makaab, of ProSport International confirmed, at this very moment, he’s more in than out at his current employers, with discussions ongoing for the 2025/26 season.

“At the moment, we’re busy discussing it with the club, he’s happy at the club, he loves working on projects, he’s not the sort of person who likes to chop and change, so we’re in discussions with Arrows to sort of see where it takes us,” Makaab confirmed to iDiski Times.

The 54-year-old oversaw 11 games at Arrows since rejoining the club, with three wins, three draws and five defeats as they retained their top-flight status.
