Angry Nabi Slams Chiefs Players

A frustrated Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has questioned the attitude of his players after they squandered a two-goal lead against Royal AM.

Amakhosi scored two goals in the first 15 minutes and could’ve been out of sight at half-time but Royal AM found a way back into the match and stole a point at the death.

The result and his players lack of clinical touch in front of goal left Nabi frustrated after the final whistle.

“We feel that today is a lack of professionalism,” he told journalists.

“We could’ve ended the first half with five or six to nil, this game could have had seven or eight [goals].

“Sometimes you don’t score because lack of collective or ego, but when you don’t respect football, the football doesn’t respect you.

“We are very, very frustrated with the two points that we have lost today because we controlled the game from the first minute until the last minute – but that’s what happend when you let the opponent alive.”

Nabi also questioned his side for losing focus and giving away a goal in injury-time.

“The other frustrating thing is, sometimes you can’t score, we had a lot of opportunities,” he added.

“But when it’s three or four minutes left, we need to defend your advantage, but even that we couldn’t do.

“It’s very hard to understand what happened today.”
