Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro is confident that he will get a chance to represent his parent club before his contract ends as he is good enough to feature for them.
Ighodaro signed for Sundowns in July of 2021 and is yet to wear their colours after being sent out at loans at University of Pretoria, Chippa United, SuperSport United and currently AmaZulu.
He scored four goals in 22 appearances at Tuks, 11 goals and an assist in 27 matches at Chippa, five goals in 28 games for Matsatsantsa and currently he has three goals in 11 matches at Usuthu.
The 23-year-old spoke to iDiski Times writer Lethabo Kganyago in edition 186 of the newspaper where he maintained optimism about returning to Pretoria.
“I’m confident,” Ighodaro told iDiski Times.
“At this moment, loan again is not even on the table. I have to represent them. I have to represent or not but I’m pretty confident at this point I have to get a chance at least.”
Ighodaro also revealed that the conversations between him and his mother club are promising and they are talking about the right time to return.
“The conversation is good,” added the Nigerian.
“It’s always nice for you as a player and your parent club saying you are going to do well. It’s always nice. Everything is positive, it’s just a matter of the perfect time for me to come to Sundowns and play for my team. It’s just about the right moment.”
