Khenyeza Defiant After Sixth Straight Loss With Arrows

Golden Arrows head coach Mabhuti Khenyeza blames individual errors after suffering their sixth straight defeat in all competitions.

Arrows last won an official match a month ago when they defeated Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 at Mpumalanga Stadium.

The KwaZulu Natal-based side has since lost six matches including a Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final against AmaZulu.

After the Orlando Pirates defeat, Khenyeza went heavy on players stating that they lost because of individual errors.

He also mentioned that it will need to be fixed as soon as possible.

“I think it’s individual mistakes, not group mistakes. You are supposed to play a forward pass, or you play a back pass which is a negative pass which invites opposition to come, those are the individual mistakes of one person instead of playing the ball up and creating a situation but again we need to remind our players,” he said after the game.

“You make a mistake, that can change the game’s complexion. I don’t point fingers at the players but we need to improve, most of the games we lose because of individual mistakes and then everything changes.

“We played against Chippa (United) unnecessary foul in front of the box and then they scored. Such small mistakes are costing and when opponents make mistakes, we don’t punish.”
