Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has acknowledged Gaston Sirino will play a key role for Kaizer Chiefs ahead of their showdown at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The 33-year-old playmaker joined Chiefs in the off-season on a free transfer after his exit from Sundowns, where he spent nearly seven years at the club.

And in his opening two league games in which Chiefs, like Sundowns, have collected maximum points, he’s scored once and assisted two goals.
“We must respect [Sirino], he would not have stayed at Sundowns for seven years if he was not a good football player, we know what he is capable of, we know most of his strengths, he is a very dangerous player offensively,” he said.
“So, we cannot run away from the fact that he is a very important player for the opponents at the moment and it will be a very important for us to… to do the best we can to neutralise most of their key players. Apparently, he is one of them and we cannot take that away from them.”
The two sides meet on Saturday afternoon at the Calabash at 15h00 in their top-of-the-table league encounter.
