Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi lauded his charges for repaying the faith shown in them after a wholesome change in their Betway Premiership win over Polokwane City on Wednesday evening.
Mngqithi made a whopping nine changes with only Ronwen Williams and Peter Shalulile the survivors from their Carling Knockout Cup last eight win over Kaizer Chiefs at the weekend.
Teenage sensation Kutlwano Letlhaku bagged a brace in each half as Sundowns walked away 2-0 victors and avenge their defeat from a few days ago
“I mean we wanted better speed of play,” Mngqithi told SuperSport TV.
“And I think we started really well in that regard, but unfortunately we were not as clinical in the attacking third and our final decision sometimes are letting us down.
“But it was impressive to see these boys playing the way they played because it was a risk to a lot of people why I didn’t continue with the other team.

“But I felt I can trust these boys. I trust what we’re trying to do and I believe it’s going to help us to try and have everybody knowing that he can play at any given stage.
“And I was impressed with their performance,” Mngqithi further said.
