Mashiane Opens Up On Chiefs Struggles

Kaizer Chiefs left-back Happy Mashiane has opened up about his struggles at the club, admitting how injuries have hampered him.

Mashiane is a product of the side’s development structures having been promoted to the first team in the 2018/19 season. He has so far featured 69 times for Chiefs, 53 times in the league and 16 times in cup competitions. This season he has struggled for game-time playing just seven league matches.

The 27-year-old spoke to iDiski Times writer Lethabo Kganyago recently where he said like most players who sign for Amakhosi he wants to contribute and achieve things however injuries have not made his life easy.

“Obviously as a player when you sign for Kaizer Chiefs you want to achieve certain things,” Mashiane told iDiski Times.

“And you want to achieve it with the team and not as an individual. So obviously I have been struggling with injuries throughout this season and like I said whenever I’m given the opportunity, I just give my best.”
