Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has claimed there’s a need to have a second assistant at the club after the departure of Fernando da Cruz.
The Frenchman left the Chiefs project he joined alongside Nabi with, where he previously worked alongside him at ASFAR, holding the Technical Director position in Morocco.
However, he left for a return to the North African state after a lucrative approach from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FMRF) in a newly launched project.
The leaves Khalil Ben Youssef, his former analyst at Young Africans as his only assistant at present.
“Why not? It’s possible, all is possible… because I have too much work, too much of a job, only with one assistant, it’s not [easy]. We have specific work I need, maybe if Mr. Da Cruz goes definitely to Morocco.
“I think he has gone definitely because we received the letter from Morocco. But we wait… some time, to observe the situation.”
There’s been speculation that former head coach, now Senior Academy Coach, Arthur Zwane would return to the first team for the vacant role, but the club’s Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jnr recently poured cold water on the notion.
