Mamelodi Sundowns winger Lesiba Nku says he is fit and raring to go ahead of their match against his former club Marumo Gallants.
Sundowns face off against Gallants who have already lost their opening two games against Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows.
Sundowns beat SuperSport United in the Tshwane Derby ahead of their mid-week clash at Loftus Versfeld before they travel to FNB Stadium to face Amakhosi on Saturday.
“I think I’m ready, I have recovered well and I’m ready to play [after my injury],” he said ahead of facing his former club on Tuesday.
“I think I watched all the games they played so far, they playing very well, it’s just not lucky to win their games. We must not undermine them because they lost two games, we just go with our plan and we’ll be victorious.”
Nku who was one of the standout players as a winger for Polokwane City and Gallants, where he played under both Dan Malesela and Duncan Lechesa, the current coaching duo of their opposition, has transformed into a utility player.
He’s featured as a false nine and as a wing-back since his arrival and while he admits it will be a tricky clash, he’s confident they will come out triumphant, heading into the weekend.
“Coach Dance, he likes to play tiki-taka football, he likes to keep the ball too much, which is what we do at Sundowns. So it will be a competitive game, we’re ready for it. Coach Duncan coached me at Polokwane City and then coach Dan at Marumo, so it will be a good game, but we’ll manage,” he concluded.
