TS Galaxy will be without goalkeeper Gift Maseti when they face African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns this evening at Mbombela Stadium.
After an entertaining 2-2 draw against Siwelele FC in the opening league match, Galaxy will face Sundowns as they aim to claim their first maximum points.
But if they are to cause any upset, they will have to do it without goalkeeper Maseti who will be serving a suspension after receiving a straight red card against Siwelele. Maseti accidentally grabbed the ball outside the 18-yard area after confusing the lime line on the pitch.
The South African goalkeeper will serve a two-match suspension and is expected to be replaced by Ira Tape or Kayonde Bankole between the poles.
Durban City will also miss midfielder Brooklyn Poggenpoel when they play the KwaZulu-Natal derby against Lamontville Golden Arrows on Wednesday evening. The 26-year-old received a red card in the MTN8 quarter-final loss to Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
