Mamelodi Sundowns have secured the signing of highly rated teenage left-back Teboho Lekhatla from Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Real Native FC, formerly known as Casric Stars.
The talented youngster, who celebrates his 19th birthday later this month, enjoyed an impressive campaign
last season, making 25 league appearances after establishing himself as a first-team regular since his senior
debut in the 2024/25 season.
Having won the MFC Young Player of the Season in that campaign, he stepped up last season as one of the leading performers in the league, which caught they eye of Sundowns and the national U20 squad selectors.
Although Lekhatla has now joined the reigning African champions, he is set to continue his development away from Chloorkop, with the 2026/27 campaign to be spent on loan at AmaTuks as he gains valuable experience.
iDiski Times has it on good authority the player has signed a long-term deal with Sundowns, with the season-long loan deal agreed with the second-tier side.
