Orlando Pirates performance analyst Devon O’Brien has left the club due to personal reasons.
O’Brien joined Pirates from Stellenbosch FC in June and quickly helped the side defend their MTN8 trophy and also helped the Buccaneers to reach the CAF Champions League group stages.

The Sea Robbers are currently also sitting at the top of the Betway Premiership with 21 points after winning all their seven games. In the space of a year, Pirates lost assistant coach Sergio Almenara and Miguel Bellver.
This publication has been reliably informed that the former Stellenbosch performance analyst left Pirates, as he is set for a new journey in Cape Town for something else.

It is also believed personal reasons played a part in the O’Brien decision against staying at the club.
Pirates already secured Ruan Rust, also from Stellenbosch FC where he worked as Head of Performance, to boost their technical team ahead of O’Brien’s exit from the club.
