Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has confidently stated they will advance to the semi-final of the CAF Champions League ahead of Young Africans SC.
Sundowns and Yanga played out to a goalless draw in their 1st leg quarter-final at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Saturday evening.
The game remains evenly poised for the return fixture on Friday at Loftus Versfeld, a couple of days after their DStv Premiership outing against Richards at the same venue.
“Of course I will see Sundowns in the next round, I’m very confident about that, in fact,” Mokwena said when asked if he sees the club advancing to the semi-finals.
“What’s the plan? The plan is to get home safely now, rest, drink lots of water, sleep, analyse the game and then prepare for Richards Bay – we have a very important league game on Tuesday so that’s the plan for now.”
Sundowns take on the relegation-threatened Natal Richboys on Tuesday evening at 19h30.
