Galaxy Boss On Gabuza After Recent Court Appearance

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic has backed the character of striker Thamsanqa Gabuza after appearing in court for some serious allegations.

The veteran striker appeared in the Alexandra Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 22 November on allegations of attempted rape and malicious property damage, and domestic violence.

He’s since returned to training where he’s been eligible for selection and made the bench for the Carling Knockout semi-final against AmaZulu.

“I think that Gabuza, like I know him, he’s a fantastic human being and player but we have 23 fantastic players in our squad,” Ramovic said.

“It’s not easy to play, it’s not easy to get game time – what makes us happy because if you have many good attitude players, it makes things not easy for us – it also brings confidence that everyone needs to train well and show quality every day.

“This is the only way to get game time – and Gabuza until now, is very professional, very great and we’re happy to have him in the squad.”

When pressed about his mental state and why he’s remained part of the squad, Ramovic said he will be treated fairly until the case reaches it’s outcome.

“Like I said, Gabuza is a fantastic human being and I don’t have any problem with him about discipline, what happened is still in the case, so I don’t know, but I will treat him until the case is done, I will treat him with respect,” Ramovic continued.

“I know him since July, fantastic human being, very professional,  a good guy, we treat him just as we always did, with respect – he’s an important part of this team.”
