Chiefs & Downs Aim To Bounce Back After First DDC Losses

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are looking to return to winning ways after losing their first matches, while Orlando Pirates are aiming for another win in this weekend’s DStv Diski Challenge fixtures.

The Buccaneers kick off their Saturday match against TS Galaxy away from home. Pirates have recorded back-to-back wins after a slow start of the season. The Sea Robbers seem to have found their form as they have scored five goals in five games and conceded only two. Galaxy on the other hand find themselves sitting in 10th place after playing three consecutive draws.

Sunday is jam-packed with a lot of action as Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Polokwane City after suffering a defeat against defending champions Stellenbosch FC. Rise and Shine on the other hand are yet to pick up a win this term having played three consecutive draws.

Amakhosi battles with giant killers Magesi FC. Chiefs suffered their first defeat last weekend against SuperSport United. Meanwhile, Tlou Segolela’s side has shocked everyone with their brilliant start after playing three draws and one win which was against Sundowns.

Stellenbosch will close the weekend against Eastern Cape-based side Chippa United. The Cape Vinelands side didn’t start the season well, but they have managed to grind for seven points.

Table-toppers Cape Town City won’t be in action this weekend as they were supposed to face Royal AM who find themselves not playing due to not having enough players registered.
