Major Update On Hanamub Future

AmaZulu and Namibia international left-back Riaan Hanamub looks set to remain at the club next season after Usuthu activated a clause to extend his current deal.

Hanamub, 29, has established himself as one of the leading full-backs in the league and with the Brave Warriors who made history at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Having starred in their first-ever knockout stage qualification, Hanamub was linked with several clubs across the continent and Orlando Pirates.

But iDiski Times has been informed Usuthu have activated their option to extend his contract by a further season, that was due to expire in July 2024.

Hanamub will now continue with the KZN-based club under a potential new rebuild with head coach Pablo Franco Martin next season.

Since his arrival from Chippa United in July 2022, Hanamub has featured 66 times for the club, scoring one goal with six assists.
