Mojela Set For New Move As PSL Transfers Heat Up

Stellenbosch FC have won the race to sign Lehlogonolo Mojela in a player-plus-cash deal with TS Galaxy.

Mojela, 27, has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in the league since joining Galaxy from Casric Stars at the start of last season.

His role as a false 9, in which he netted seven goals in his debut top-flight season saw interest from Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch, and Steve Barker’s side were quickest to make the move.

iDiski Times understands Stellies had their transfer bids accepted from Galaxy for Mojela and midfielder Thato Khiba, however, the latter failed to agree personal terms.

Mojela will now be heading to the Cape Winelands while Qobolwakhe Sibande will be joining the Rockets as part of the deal.

The speedy forward was named in the preliminary Bafana Bafana squad for the Cosafa Cup on Friday and could end up being a replacement for Ivorian winger Anicet Oura, who has attracted widespread interest in his services after an excellent season with Stellies.

Mojela is set to play a key role for the club in the 2024/25 season with his ability to play across the front line in three different roles as they get to grips with the reality of CAF Confederation Cup football for the first time in the club’s history.
