Manchester United have informed Monaco that a £30million price tag has been placed on Andre Onana, though the Cameroon goalkeeper looks set to stay at Old Trafford ahead of the new term.
Having already wrapped up signings of another former United star Paul Pogba and Ansu Fati from Barcelona, the French Ligue 1 side is said to be monitoring Onana’s situation.
The Red Devils returned to Carrington for preseason with Onana among the arrivals including new signings Matheus Cuna and Diego Leon.
According to Daily Mail, United quoted Monaco after the French club made inquiries about signing Onana at the end of June.
Onana joined the Old Trafford outfit two years ago from Inter Milan but Monaco are also said to be unwilling to pay that much for the 29-year-old who has been under fire for his underwhelming performances that saw the club endure their worst campaign finishing in 15th place.
Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez has been heavily linked with a move to the 20-time EPL champions though no talks have taken place at this stage.
