Agent Confirms Three Mailula Offers

Cassius Mailula’s agent, Karabo Tshabuse has revealed that they are currently assessing three offers for the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker.

Earlier this week, Mailula had announced his exit from Wydad Athletic Club after the expiry of his loan, and he now returns to Toronto FC.

Mailula and his agent confirmed that he is still under contract with the Major League Soccer club, but Toronto are open to offers for the 24-year-old.

“Cassius is taking a break at home, we’ve agreed timelines with Toronto, they’ve been so gracious,” Tshabuse told Andile Ncube on MetroFM.

“They’ve also opened up to use giving them options. I have three offers on my desk at the moment. But we’re doing the same exercise.

“Experience is the best school for anybody – now we’re a little bit more cautious. We want to speak to head coaches, we want to understand what we’re getting into.

“I can reveal one [offer] is Egyptian, one of them is European, but ‘baby Europe’ – not the top five leagues… and the Middle East. But we might announce something completely different, it’s that time of the season.

“The local guys have shown just support for Cassius, to want to understand what is going on with him, and he’s open to that, but at the moment we’re taking our time.”

Mailula was one of four South African players who scored at the FIFA Club World Cup. Overall, he has scored six goals and set up seven more in 36 appearances for the Moroccan giants.
