Al Ahly legend and former captain Shady Mohamed has insisted one of the club’s youngsters is better than Percy Tau and Luis Miquissone and both should be sold.
The Club of the Century have announced they will be fielding youthful line-ups for the rest of the season after the VAR drama upon Tau’s return to the pitch.
In the first game with the youngsters, Al Ahly beat Al Ittihad 3-0, with Ziad Tarek among the goalscorers.
It was the 21-year-old’s second goal of the campaign, while Tau was a second half substitute.
After the match former club captain insisted that the club should look into selling Tau and Miquissone.
“Ziad Tarek is better than both Percy Tau and Luis Miquissone. I believe he should become a starter for the first team,” Shady said, per Kingfut.
“Tau and Miquissone should be sold. Al Ahly would financially benefit from selling them both.
“Overall, Al Ahly youngsters had a good game against Ittihad, but it should only be a start, they still have a long way to go.”
Tau has scored eight goals and assisted six more in 30 games for Al Ahly this season, while Miquissone has found the back of the net thrice.
