Broos Calls Up Two Bafana Replacements

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has called up two replacements for his latest squad for this month’s FIFA Series fixtures against Algeria and Andorra.

The FIFA Series, a biennial invitational football competition for the friendlies between national teams from different confederations, taking place in March of every even-numbered year.

This month five concurrent FIFA Series events will take place in Algeria, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan and Saudia Arabia, who are hosting two events.

Broos had run the changes in his squad, giving 10 new faces a chance, but now had to recall two players who were part of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations squad.

“Siyanda Xulu and Thabang Monare replace Siyabonga Ngezana and Sphephelo Sithole,” SAFA stated on Sunday.

“Sithole was ruled out through injury while Ngezana was withdrawn due to travel difficulties in Romania.”
