Pitso Mosimane has confidently stated Al Ahly will beat Raja Casablanca in their CAF Champions League quarter-final second leg on Friday.
The defending champions will face the three-time winners of the competition after securing a 2-1 first-leg lead.
Mosimane, who is looking to lift his third successive CAFCL trophy, believes his side will secure the needed result in Morocco to qualify for the semi-finals of the competition.
“We expect Friday’s game to be a tough one, as we will be playing against an experienced team with great history. Therefore, we are fully concentrated on the game,” he said ahead of the game.
“We were able to defeat Raja in the CAF Super Cup and in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals. We will be looking forward to defeating them tomorrow and qualifying for the next round.”
“Of course, we will be competing against them on the pitch but that doesn’t affect the strong relationship between both teams off the pitch.”
The South African coach, though, did reveal that his side have a few injury problems ahead of their clash.
“We will be missing several key players in Friday’s game due to injury,” he added.
“Badr Benoun is one of those key players who is very beneficial for the team but won’t be able to play.
“However, that’s part of football and we will do our best with those who are available to play in order to qualify for the next round.”
Al Ahly will take on Raja at 00:00 on Saturday morning.
