Kaizer Chiefs playmaker Mduduzi Shabalala has started training with LaLiga outfit Villarreal after a trial stint in Belgium with KVC Westerlo last month.
The teenager was pictured at the Ciutat Esportiva VILA-REAL on Monday which was a planned trip that was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Shabalala, who’s been a shining light in the DStv Diski Challenge is widely considered one of Chiefs brightest young talents and was awarded the opportunity for his showing in the U-17 Cosafa Cup.
Back in 2020, he secured the Player of the Tournament award which secured the trip to Spain and it remains to be seen whether he impresses or if the outcome of his assessment in Belgium secures any offers.
