Chippa United hope to retain the services of attacking midfielder Ronaldo Maarman for the 2023/24 season, but the decision will be with his parent club Orlando Pirates.
The Chilli Boys survived relegation on the last day of the season, thanks to a goalless draw with Lamontville Golden Arrows.
The Eastern Cape-based side are already preparing for the 2023/24 season and want to see themselves in a better place.
With coach Lehlohonolo Seema out and Morgan Mammila rumoured to make his return, as reported by iDiski Times, it has also reached our desk that the aim is keep the core of the team, even those that were on loan.
Chippa want to keep Maarman, who was loaned to them by Pirates at the beginning of 2022/23 season. The club believe in him and what a can add to the club a close source confirmed.
“Yes, Chippa want to keep Maarman but it all depends on what Pirates want because he is their player. He will first return to Pirates then the decision will be after,” a close source confirmed to iDiski Times.
Overall, Maarman made 25 appearance for Chippa in 2022/23, scoring three goals and setting up five more.
