Diski Shield Draw Made

The Premier Soccer League have officially launched the 2022/2023 DStv Diski Shield, with the draw happening on Wednesday.

This was confirmed by the PSL on Wednesday. The Diski Shield had been announced by the PSL back in 2018, but due to Covid-19 it had a two-year hiatus and has returned in its new format.

Stellenbosch were the 2021/2022 DDC champions, confirming the victory on the last day of the season ahead of second-placed SuperSport United, and Orlando Pirates, who finished third.

The tournament will see the top eight finishers from last season competing, however unlike the MTN8, the tournament is not seeded, and the draw for the quarter-finals was held on Wednesday afternoon.

Quarter-Finals draw:

TS Galaxy versus Chippa United

Maritzburg United versus Stellenbosch

Kaizer Chiefs versus SuperSport United

Orlando Pirates versus Mamelodi Sundowns

Meanwhile it was also confirmed that Stellenbosch will be heading to the UK nexy month after winning the Diski Challenge.
