Ex-Chiefs Striker Continues Red-Hot Scoring Form

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Efmamj Jasond Gonzalez is slowly rediscovering his goalscoring form after netting in Real Santa Cruz’s 2-1 win over Royal Pari.

Gonzalez struggled to acclimatize to South African football and failed to make a mark during his loan stint with Chiefs, but he has since rediscovered his form in front of goal in South America’s Clausara.

The former Amakhosi frontman left South Africa without scoring a goal in six months but hit the ground running upon his return to Bolivia.

Gonzalez is now Santa Cruz’s top goalscorer with six goals this season after scoring in back-to-back matches. The 25-year-old grabbed a brace in their 3-2 defeat to Bolivar in the previous match which was as a result of two spot kicks.

Last night’s goal for the Antioquia-born towering striker against Pari was a huge boost for his side who are still rooted at the bottom of the league standings.

The Colombian striker is known for being aggressive and that has been proven after receiving 10 yellow cards in the past 13 matches including one red card.
