Nigerian target man Augustine Chidi Kwem has confirmed his move to AmaZulu, telling iDiski Times journalist Sinethemba Makonco he’s excited about the new challenge.
The 24-year-old joined Galaxy from Chippa United ahead of the 2021/22 campaign and helped Tim Sukazi’s club to survive the relegation fight.
Overall, he netted four goals for Galaxy last season, including the 1-0 winner against Kaizer Chiefs in the second round of the Nedbank Cup.
The towering forward confirmed his move to Usuthu when contact by this publication, saying he is looking forward to feature in all domestic competitions in 2022/23.
“My move to AmaZulu is quite an opportunity to feature in basically all the tournaments that will be played in the PSL,” he said.
“It will be my first participation in the MTN8 and also the position the team finished compared to my former team TS Galaxy, it looks like an improvement.
“It’s also a new challenge, also.”
Before his stint with Galaxy, Kwem also scored 13 goals and assisted four more in 60 games for Chippa United.
Kwem is seemingly Usuthu’s second signing for the new season after president Sandile Zungu already confirmed they have also agreed terms with Gabadinho Mhango.
