Official: Pogba Leaves Man Utd

Manchester United have confirmed that club-recored signing Paul Pogba will leave the club on a free transfer.

Pogba, a United youth product, rejoined United in a deal worth €105 million. He made 233 appearances for United, scoring 39 goals and setting up another 51.

He lifted two English League Cups and the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League with the club, but his off-field antics were often criticised by people around Old Trafford, leading to the player’s departure.

“The club can announce that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United at the end of June, upon the expiry of his contract,” United stated on Wednesday.

“Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Paul on his successful career, and thank him for his contributions to Manchester United.
“We wish him all the best for the next steps on a remarkable journey.”
Pogba is the first high-profile exit at Old Trafford since new coach Erik ten Hag took over the reigns.
In 2021/22, the Frenchman made 27 appearances in all competitions for United, but he was sidelined quite a lot with injuries.
