Orlando Pirates are through to the MTN8 Final despite losing the second leg of their semi-final 1-0 to Stellenbosch.
Pirates advance on the away goal rule after the tie ended 2-2 on aggregate.
It was a tough fixture at Orlando Stadium and Stellenbosch started the game well, knowing they had nothing to lose, but needed to score two goals to advance.
And they got themselves into an excellent position when they took the lead in the 22nd minute.
Iqraam Rayners fired a shot from long range, that took a deflection off Zakhele Lepasa and Sipho Chaine was beaten.
While Stellenbosch pushed hard to find another goal, it was a 50-50 encounter for the rest of the match, and Orlando Pirates will also rue missed opportunities to get on the scoresheet.
But as the game wore on it looked unlikely that the visitors would score, as they began to tire, and Rayners, amongst others, had to be substituted.
And when the final whistle blew it was Pirates who booked their place to play Mamelodi Sundowns in the final in two weeks.
Pirates have now struggled to score in their last three fixtures, but Jose Riveiro will be happy to reach the final despite this issue.
