Pitso Loses To League Champions

Pitso Mosimane’s Al-Wahda have lost their second United Arab Emirates Pro League game of the season, going down 3-1 to defending champions Shabab Al-Ahli.

Wahda came into the game on the back of four successive wins – two in the league and two in the cup – but went down to Shabab on Friday.

They got off to a poor start and themselves trailing after seven minutes, with former Sevilla and TSG Hoffenheim striker Munas Dabbur opening the scoreline.

Mosimane’s side equalised via Omar Khrabin from the penalty spot after 39 minutes, but went behind again just three minutes later when Federico Cartabia found the back of the net.

Renan made it 3-1 after 66 minutes, with Wahda unable to come back into the game, despite having more shots than the hosts.

Shabab kept their 100% start record alive, sitting in second spot, while Mosimane and his men find themselves in sixth spot with six points from four games.
