Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Dumisani Zuma has opened up on his move to AmaZulu FC after being released a year before the expiry of his contract with Amakhosi.
Zuma was released by Amakhosi a few weeks ago after five years with the club due to “numerous disciplinary issues“.
The 27-year-old quickly managed to find a new home after signing a four-year contract with AmaZulu.
After ‘Msholozi’ already sent a classy farewell message to Chiefs fans and his former club, he now insisted that he believes he can help his new side to achieve their targets.
“Hi, this is Dumisani Zuma. I’ll be joining AmaZulu for the 2022/23 season. I’m very happy about the move,” Zuma told his new employers.
“Obviously I’m from KZN, I think I had a good stay in KZN playing for the team [Bloemfontein Celtic].
“And obviously, when you join the team, there is expectations of the team. After the meetings we had with the chairman, like the plan and expectations are very clear.
“Obviously he wants to do well in the league and I think I’ll help the team achieving this.
“Thank you very much and I’m very happy that I’ll be joining AmaZulu.”
Zuma made 103 appearances for Chiefs, scoring 13 goals and setting up 11 more, while he also featured 62 times for Bloemfontein Celtic before making the switch to Naturena.
