Al Ahly lost to Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, while Palmeiras lost Tigres UANL from Mexico.

Bayern were crowned champions in the Final, after they beat Tigres 1-0 in the final.

It is the second bronze Al Ahly have won the competition, and matches their best ever finish.
This is Palmeiras’ second time at the Club World Cup, but they are yet to score a goal in open play in three matches.
