Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly team beat Palmeiras 3-2 on penalties in the 3rd/4th playoff at the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar.
Earlier the game had finished goalless after 90 minutes.
Al Ahly lost to Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, while Palmeiras lost Tigres UANL from Mexico.
Bayern were crowned champions in the Final, after they beat Tigres 1-0 in the final.
It is the second bronze Al Ahly have won the competition, and matches their best ever finish.
This is Palmeiras’ second time at the Club World Cup, but they are yet to score a goal in open play in three matches.
