Just a few days after the tragic passing of Diego Maradona, Argentinian football suffered another loss when former coach Alejandro Sabella passed away.
Sabella, who was 66, passed away after a battle with cancer.
Sabella was in charge of Argentina when they last played in the World Cup Final, losing 1-0 to Germany in 2014. He had spent three years in charge of the national team.
As a player with Estudiantes he won the Argentinian title, and then as their coach he won the Copa Libertadores. He also won the league as a player with River Plate. He also briefly played in England with Sheffield United and Leeds United.
