Gift Links’ good form for Aarhus has been recognised, as he was named in the Danish Superliga Team of the Month.
Links has been in good form for the Danish club throughout 2021, and scored against Randers earlier this month. Aarhus are currently third on the table.
With Bafana Bafana playing Ghana and Sudan this week, many pundits on social media have thought that Links should have been called up by Molefi Ntseki, considering his form.
iDiski Times interviewed the 22-year-old earlier this year and in Edition 7 of iDiski Times he told Rob Delport that his time with Bafana Bafana will come.
“To be honest I don’t pay much attention into that, you know. Because firstly for me to be a Bafana regular I have to perform week in and week out,” Links told iDiski Times.
“It is not that easy to be a Bafana regular and we really have a bunch of good players; the likes of (Thembinkosi) Lorch, Percy (Tau), Luther (Singh), Themba (Zwane) and (Keagan) Dolly.”
“These are top, top players, but I’ll just keep on working hard, and hopefully my chance will come.”
