Pitso Mosimane has the opportunity to become the first South African to win two CAF Champions League trophies, when he leads Al Ahly against Zamalek in Friday’s final.
Having already won the trophy with Mamelodi Sundowns, Mosimane now has the chance to win the trophy again, when the two teams meet at the Cairo International Stadium.
Unfortunately there will no be fans at the ground, after CAF withdrew their earlier statement that had agreed to allow supporters, and in a joint statement with the Egyptian FA that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it will be played behind-closed-doors.
Six players will already miss the final due to positive tests.
Al Ahly will be seeking their 9th CAF Champions League title, while Zamalek are eyeing their sixth.
