Cape Town City and South African youth international Emile Witbooi has officially joined the Nike family, signing a comprehensive boot and apparel deal.
Facilitated by the player’s representative agency Roc Nation Sports International, the partnership marks a major milestone for the U17 and U20 national team star.
Witbooi has already etched his name into the record books as the youngest debutant in the Cape Town City’s history.
His rapid rise at the domestic level is mirrored by his international breakthrough, where he has become a mainstay for both the South African U17 and U20 national teams.
According to the agency’s statement, the deal with Nike, “will see the dynamic playmaker represent the brand on and off the pitch”.
“Growing up, I always saw some of the world’s best players wearing Nike, and to now be part of that same legacy is incredibly motivating,” Witbooi commented, as per RocNation Sports International.
“This partnership is more than just about boots and gear; it’s another significant step in my journey that will help me elevate as an athlete and reach the goals I’ve set for my career.
“I’m grateful to Nike for believing in my potential and to my team at Roc Nation Sports International for making this possible.”
