Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu has been ruled out for Rangers UEFA Europa League game against Benfica tonight.
Zungu is carrying a knee injury, and while Rangers coach Steven Gerrard had hoped to give Zungu a run in the game, he has now officially been ruled out of contention.
Gerrard confirmed the news on the club’s website.
“Zungu will be missing as well,” Gerrard said.
“We are hoping to have him back in a week to 10 days time. He’s not got a big issue but unfortunately he’s not available for us…”
