Another Walkover In Playoffs
For a third time in a row Royal AM have failed to honour a match in the PSL promotion/relegation playoffs, as they failed to turn up for today’s match against Richards Bay at the Umlaehuze Sports Complex.
Royal AM are boycotting the playoffs, as they continue their legal battle against the decisions that saw Sekhukhune United declared winners of the GladAfrica Championship, after they were awarded three points by the PSL DC that saw them finish ahead of Royal AM.
This was Richards Bay’s final game in the playoffs, meaning they will miss out on promotion, if the walkovers are declared valid by the DC, with Chippa United set to retain their status.
There is one more playoff match scheduled, as Royal AM are set to face Chippa United away on the 30th, but Shauwn Mkhize’s team are expected to boycott the match as has been the case throughout the playoffs.
