Chiefs Transfer News: 9 In, 7 Out

Kaizer Chiefs are continuing their squad overhaul ahead of 2021/22 and have now already brought in nine new players, while seven others are being let go.

The Glamour Boys had a busy Tuesday, announcing the arrivals of Keagan Dolly and Cole Alexander.

The duo became Chiefs’ signings number eight and nine ahead of the new season after their two-window transfer ban from FIFA expired.

Dolly and Alexander add on to Brandon Peterson, Sifiso Hlanti, Phathutshedzo Nange, Njabulo Ngcobo, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Kgaogelo Sekgota and Austin Dube. 

Meanwhile, Chiefs also announced that Willard Katsande, Kgotso Moleko, Philani Zulu and Brylon Petersen were released. 

In addition, Lazarus Kambole, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Yagan Sasman have all been placed on the transfer list.

Amakhosi also announced the contract extensions for senior players Itumeleng Khune, Lebogang Manyama, Khama Billiat, Bernard Parker and Ramahlwe Mphahlele.

Here is a look at which players are currently left in the Chiefs squad following their overhaul:

Goalkeepers: Itumeleng Khune, Daniel Akpeyi, Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Peterson, Karabo Molefe

Defenders: Daniel Cardoso, Eric Mathoho, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Siyabonga Ngezana, Njabulo Ngcobo, Austin Dube, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Sifiso Hlanti, Happy Mashiane, Reeve Frosler

Midfielders: Cole Alexander, Njabulo Blom, Phathutshedzo Nange, Teddy Akumu, Darrel Matsheke, Given Thebedi, Sabelo Radebe, Lebogang Manyama, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Bernard Parker

Forwards: Keagan Dolly, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Dumisani Zuma, Keletso Sifama, Lebogang Lesako, Khama Billiat, Leonardo Castro, Samir Nurkovic, Sizwe Twala

Chiefs currently have 34 players* in their squad, but more changes are expected before the window closes.

*Lazarus Kambole, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Yagan Sasman are still in the squad but not in the club’s plans.
