De Sa Excited To Coach Salah
Newly appointed Egyptian national team assistant coach Roger De Sa says he is excited that he will be coaching African football star Mohamed Salah.
The former Orlando Pirates, Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits coach was appointed by Egyptian FA to be the assistant to Carlos Queiroz.
The 56-year-old coach will be coaching the likes of Mohamed Salah, Mostafa Mohamed, Mohamed Elneny, to mention a few who play in Europe.
De Sa was speaking to Rob Delport in an exclusive interview in the latest edition of iDiski Times.
“Yes they do, I mean just starting with Mo Salah, I mean he’s the talk of the town straight away. So that alone was exciting,” De Sa said.
“But one thing I’ve learnt is that the better the player, the easier the job. To work with high quality players make your job easy. You just got to man manage them, and that’s really what’s needed.”
“You not going to teach them how to play, you’ve just got to man manage them, and guide them in the right direction, and obviously hope the results come.”
