Two Former Chiefs Players Join New Club
Former Kaizer Chiefs players Itumeleng Shopane and Sizwe Twala, who were both released by Amakhosi on deadline day, have joined Pretoria Callies.
The duo never made a first-team appearance for the Glamour Boys and were free agents after the club announced their departures in deadline day after playing no role in Stuart Baxter’s plans.
They both spent last season on loan at Swallows FC but only Shopane made one appearance for the Dube Birds.
The ex-Chiefs youth players have now joined GladAfrica Championship side Pretoria Callies, the club have confirmed.
“Yes both of them signed with the club this week,” Callies spokesperson Doctor Maphalle told Kick Off.
“I am not sure on the duration of their contracts. But I can confirm yes both players now belong to Pretoria Callies.”
Callies currently sit at the bottom of the log, having started the new campaign with four defeats and one draw.
