Dladla – We’re Going To Settle The Scores In The 90 Minutes

Swallows acting coach Simo Dladla says he expects a very different approach in Wednesday’s MTN8 semi-final second leg match, to how the teams teams played in the DStv Premiership last Friday.

On Friday at Dobsonville Stadium, the two teams played to a goalless draw, which is also the score in this tie after last month’s goalless first leg in Cape Town.

Dladla, who is standing in while Brandon Truter is on ‘special leave’, says the teams were cautious on Friday, but he expects a different approach in the cup game, and thinks the match will be settled in the 90 minutes.

“I expect Cape Town City to come at us,” Dladla said in the pre-match presser.

“You could see, in the last game, they were a bit reserved, especially when we were in possession. They did not really press us.

“So they were waiting to catch us on the counter. They pushed numbers behind the ball. I think they left only Fagrie Lakay and (Abdul) Ajagun, they only left those guys up there to catch us on the break, because of their speed.

“And I don’t see them doing the same in the cup game.

“And of course because of my first game, and the team has been on a losing run, we were cautious as well.

“But I’m telling you tomorrow we’re going to settle the scores in the 90 minutes.”
