Former Bafana Defender Retires
Sekhukhune United have confirmed that former Bafana Bafana defender Morgan Gould has hung up his boots.
However Gould will remain at the club, and has become assistant coach for the club’s DDC team, working alongside Themba Masango.
The 38 year old first broke onto the scenes at Jomo Cosmos, before joining SuperSport United, where he was part of Gavin Hunt’s squad that won the league title. Gould was part of that squad for two of SuperSport’s three titles.
He would then join Kaizer Chiefs, where he would then add two more league titles to his resume. Before joining Sekhukhune, Gould spent a season at Stellenbosch.
“Gould’s leadership, intelligence and determination have seen him adapt brilliantly with some members of the team,” Babina Noko’s Executive Chairman Simon Malatji was quoted as saying in a statement.
“He has a unique and special attribute that will contribute to the success of the MDC team, He will always be part of the Babina Noko family.”
